MACARONI-BEAN-HAMBURGER

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups beans (uncooked)
- 3/4 cup macaroni (uncooked)
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 strips bacon (cut up in pieces)
- 1/4 medium onion
- Salt and Pepper
Directions
Soak beans overnight.
In morning parboil, until tender, also macaroni, brown hamburger.
In baking dish place a layer of beans, then a layer of hamburger, then macaroni and top with a few onion slices, pieces of bacon, sprinkle with salt and pepper and sprinkle brown sugar generously over this, repeat in layers until all is used up.
Then pour over 1 pt. tomatoes or tomato juice and bake slowly in oven until beans are well done, if dry add water.
